2024 Events
Our UK AAPS Chapter’s mission is to enhance research and employment opportunities by fostering interactions between students, faculty, alumni and visitors. More specifically we aim at increasing student participation in AAPS activities, providing updated information on advances in the pharmaceutical sciences and career opportunities, promoting outreach activities and creating opportunities for professional advancement.
Trick-or-Treat
Halloween (oct. 31, TODD)
Time for some Halloween fun! Professors and employees throughout TODD will be passing out candy from 12 - 1 PM on Halloween for students to do a mini trick-or-treat! Join AAPS in the fun!
Campfire S’mores Night
September 21 (7PM)
Come join your fellow grad students for a campfire and s’mores! Bring a lawn chair and hang out with AAPS for the evening!
Coffee Hour
September 20
Join us for a classic AAPS coffee hour out in the courtyard between TODD, HKRB and BBSRB!
MINI GOLF

Fairway to Heaven
Join us for one of our favorite annual events, mini golf! We’re back at it again with some friendly competition, so bring your coworkers, friends and family to see who’s the best! See the attached flyer for more details!
Field Day
June 7
AAPS helped with the department-wide field day by sponsoring the tie-dye event! We had a ton of fun hanging out, playing traditional backyard games like egg toss and kickball! Watch out for next year, where we’re gonna sweep the field.
AAPS Bake Sale

AAPS is hosting a college-wide bake sale to celebrate the end of the spring semester. Come for a variety of delicious homemade baked goods because you deserve it! Check the flyer for more information.
2024 Coffee Hours!
Join AAPS again this semester for our monthly coffee hours! Come and enjoy taking a break from work to chat with your fellow graduate students with free coffee and snacks!
For the summer coffee hours, we will also be offering a chance to discuss with others what you are reading this summer! See the description of the book club below.

Summer Coffee Hour
As the semester is ending, AAPS is encouraging everyone to take some of their free time this summer and share their favorite books with the department. You can access the department-wide reading list here! If you would like to share your books with others, you can give them to Huimei or Alexia, and each coffee hour this summer will allow for a book exchange. Coffee hour will also serve as an opportunity to chat with others about what you are reading. Come to the coffee hour on April 12th for the first book exchange! Keep your brain alive this summer and join us!
Trivia Night!
March 7
AAPS attended trivia night at Cornerstone. We provided pizza and had a great turn out of students. On top of all the fun, we also won trivia! Be on the lookout for another trivia event in the future to use our gift card!
